They were saying to oneanother, "Who will rollaway4the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb ?"
4Looking up, they saw that the stone had been rolledaway, balthough it was extremelylarge.
55Entering the tomb, they saw a youngmansitting at the right, wearing a whiterobe ; and they 6were amazed.
6
And he said to them, "7Do not be amazed ; you are looking for Jesus the 8Nazarene, who has been crucified. 9He has risen ; He is not here ; behold, here is the placewhere they laid Him.
7
"But go, tell His disciples and Peter, '10He is goingahead of you to Galilee ; there you will see Him, just as He told you.' "
8
They went out and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had gripped them; and they saidnothing to anyone, for they were afraid.
9
[cNow after He had risenearly on the first day of the week, He firstappeared to 11MaryMagdalene, from whom He had cast out sevendemons.
1012She went and reported to those who had been with Him, while they were mourning and weeping.
11
When they heard that He was alive and had been seen by her, 13they refused to believe it.
12After that, 14He appeared in a differentform15to two of them while they were walking along on their way to the country.
13
They wentaway and reported it to the others, but they 16did not believe them either.
14Afterward17He appeared18to the eleventhemselves as they were reclining at the table; and He reproached them for their 19unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believedthose who had seen Him after He had risen.
15
And He said to them, "20Go into all the world and preach the gospel to allcreation.16"21He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved ; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.17"Thesedsigns will accompanythose who have believed : 22in My name they will cast out demons, they will 23speak with newtongues ;18they will 24pick up serpents, and if they drinkanydeadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will 25layhands on the sick, and they will recover ."19Sothen, when the LordJesus had 26spoken to them, He 27was received up into heaven and 28satdown at the righthand of God.
