1Jesusspoke to them again in parables, saying,
2"1The kingdom of heavenamay be compared to ba kingwhocgave a 2weddingfeast for his son.3"And he 3sent out his slaves to callthose who had been invited to the weddingfeast, and they were unwilling to come.4"Again he 4sent out otherslavessaying, 'Tellthose who have been invited, "Behold, I have prepared my dinner ; my oxen and my fattenedlivestock are all butchered and everything is ready ; come to the weddingfeast."'5"But they paidnoattention and went their way, one to his owndfarm, another to his business,6and the restseized his slaves and mistreated them and killed them.7"But the king was enraged, and he sent his armies and destroyedthosemurderers and set their city on fire.8"Then he said to his slaves, 'The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy.9'Gotherefore to 5the mainhighways, and as many as you find there, invite to the weddingfeast.'10"Thoseslaveswent out into the streets and gatheredtogetherall they found, bothevil and good ; and the weddinghall was filled with edinnerguests.11"But when the kingcame in to lookover the dinnerguests, he saw6a manthere who was not dressed in weddingclothes,12and he said to him, '7Friend, how did you come in herewithoutweddingclothes ?' And the man was speechless.13"Then the kingsaid to the servants, 'Bind him hand and foot, and throw him into 8the outerdarkness ; in that placethere will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'14"For many are f9called, but few are 10chosen."
1511Then the Phariseeswent and gplottedtogetherhow they might trap Him hin what He said.

And they sent their disciples to Him, along with the 12Herodians, saying, "Teacher, we know that You are truthful and teach the way of God in truth, and idefer to noone ; for You are not partial to any.
17"Tell us then, what do You think ? Is it jlawful to give a 13poll-tax to 14Caesar, or not?"

But Jesusperceived their kmalice, and said, "Why are you testing Me, you hypocrites ?19"Show Me the 15coin used for the poll-tax." And they brought Him a ldenarius.

And He said to them, "Whoselikeness and inscription is this ?"21
They said to Him, "Caesar's." Then He said to them, "16Thenrender to Caesar the things that are Caesar's ; and to God the things that are God's."22
And hearing this, they were amazed, and 17leaving Him, they wentaway.
