"All the nations will be 1gatheredbefore Him; and He will separate them from oneanother, 2as the shepherdseparates the sheep from the goats;

and He will put the sheep3on His right, and the goats4on the left.

"Then the King will say to those on His right, 'Come, you who are blessed of My Father, 5inherit the kingdomprepared for you 6from the foundation of the world.

'For 7I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; 8I was a stranger, and you invited Me in;

9naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you 10visited Me; 11I was in prison, and you came to Me.'

"Then the righteous will answer Him, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, orthirsty, and give You something to drink?

'And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, ornaked, and clothe You?

'When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?'

"12The King will answer and say to them, 'Truly I say to you, 13to the extent* that you did it to one of thesebrothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.'

"Then He will alsosay to those on His left, '14Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the 15eternalfire which has been prepared for 16the devil and his angels;

for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink;
