11Jesus2came out from the temple and was goingawaywhen His disciplescame up to point out the templebuildings to Him.

And He said to them, "Do you not seeallthesethings? Truly I say to you, 3not one stonehere will be left upon another, which will not be torndown."

As He was sitting on 4the Mount of Olives, the disciplescame to Him privately*, saying, "Tell us, when will thesethingshappen, and what will be the sign of 5Your coming, and of the end of the age?"

And Jesusanswered and said to them, "6See to it that noonemisleads you.

"For 7many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will misleadmany.

"You will be hearing of 8wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things musttakeplace, but that is not yet the end.

"For 9nation will riseagainstnation, and kingdomagainstkingdom, and in variousplaces there will be 10famines and earthquakes.

"11But allthesethings are merely the beginning of birthpangs.

"12Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and 13you will be hated by allnationsbecause of My name.

"At that timemany will 14fallaway and will betrayoneanother and hateoneanother.

"Many15falseprophets will arise and will misleadmany.

"Becauselawlessness is increased, mostpeople'slove will growcold.

"16But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.

"This17gospel of the kingdom18shall be preached in the whole19world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Perilous Times
15"Thereforewhen you see the 20ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION which was spoken of throughDaniel the prophet, standing in 21the holyplace (22let the readerunderstand ),

thenthosewho are in Judea must flee to the mountains.

"Whoever is on 23the housetop must not godown to get the things out that are in his house.
18
"Whoever is in the field must not turnback* to get his cloak.

"But 24woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursingbabies in thosedays!

"But pray that your flight will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath.
21
"For then there will be a 25greattribulation, such as has not occurredsince the beginning of the worlduntilnow, norever* will.

"Unlessthosedays had been cutshort, no*life would have been saved; but for 26the sake of the electthosedays will be cutshort.

"27Thenifanyonesays to you, 'Behold, here is the Christ,' or 'There He is,' do not believe him.

"For falseChrists and 28falseprophets will arise and will showgreat29signs and wonders, so as to mislead, ifpossible, even30the elect.

"Soif they say to you, 'Behold, He is in the wilderness,' do not go out, or, 'Behold, He is in the innerrooms,' do not believe them.

"31For just as the lightningcomes from the east and flasheseven to the west, so will the 32coming of the 33Son of Man be.

"34Wherever* the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.
The Glorious Return
29"But immediatelyafter the 35tribulation of thosedays36THE SUN WILL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT, AND 37THE STARS WILL FALL from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
