The LORD Gives Dominion to the King.

A Psalm of David.

1 ¹The LORD says to my Lord : "²Sit at My right hand Until I make ³Your enemies a footstool for Your feet." 2 The LORD will stretch forth Your strong ⁴scepter from Zion, saying, "⁵Rule in the midst of Your enemies." 3 Your ⁶people ^awill volunteer freely in the day of Your ^bpower ; ⁷In ^choly array, from the womb of the dawn, ^dYour youth are to You as the ⁸dew. 4 ⁹The LORD has sworn and will ¹⁰not ^echange His mind, "You are a ¹¹priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek." 5 The Lord is ¹²at Your right hand ; He ^fwill ¹³shatter kings in the ¹⁴day of His wrath. 6 He will ¹⁵judge among the nations, He ^gwill fill them with ¹⁶corpses, He ^hwill ¹⁷shatter the ⁱchief men over a broad country. 7 He will ¹⁸drink from the brook by the wayside ; Therefore He will ¹⁹lift up His head.
