1Therefore there is nowno1condemnation for those who are 2in 3ChristJesus.
2
For 4the law of the Spirit of life in 5ChristJesus6has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
3
For 7what the Lawcould not do, 8weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His ownSon in 9the likeness of sinfulflesh and as an offering for sin, He condemnedsin in the flesh,
4
so that the 10requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who 11do not walkaccording to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
5
For those who are according to the fleshset their minds on 12the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, 13the things of the Spirit.
6
14For the mindset on the flesh is 15death, but the mindset on the Spirit is life and peace,
7
because the mindset on the flesh is 16hostiletowardGod; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not evenable to do so,
8
and those who are 17in the fleshcannot*pleaseGod.
9
However, you are not 18in the flesh but in the Spirit, ifindeed the Spirit of God19dwells in you. But 20ifanyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.
10
21IfChrist is in you, though the body is deadbecause of sin, yet the spirit is alivebecause of righteousness.
11
But if the Spirit of Him who 22raisedJesus from the deaddwells in you, 23He who raised24ChristJesus from the dead will alsogivelife to your mortalbodiesthrough His Spirit who dwells in you.
12
Sothen, brethren, we are underobligation, not to the flesh, to liveaccording to the flesh -
13
for 25if you are livingaccording to the flesh, you mustdie; but if by the Spirit you are 26putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
14
For allwho are 27being led by the Spirit of God, these are 28sons of God.
15
For you 29have not received a spirit of slaveryleading to fearagain, but you 30have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "31Abba! Father!"
16
The SpiritHimself32testifies with our spirit that we are 33children of God,
17
and ifchildren, 34heirsalso, heirs of God and fellowheirs with Christ, 35ifindeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.
18
For I consider that the sufferings of thispresenttime36are not worthy to be compared with the 37glory that is to be revealed to us.
19
For the 38anxiouslonging of the creationwaitseagerly for 39the revealing of the 40sons of God.
20
For the creation41was subjected to 42futility, not willingly, but 43because of Him who subjected it, in hope
21
that 44the creationitselfalso will be setfree from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
22
For we know that the wholecreation45groans and suffers the pains of childbirthtogether*untilnow.
23
46And not only this, but also we ourselves, having47the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves48groanwithinourselves, 49waitingeagerly for our adoption as sons, 50the redemption of our body.
24
For 51in hope we have been saved, but 52hope that is seen is not hope; for whohopes for what he already sees?
25
But 53if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we waiteagerly for it.
Our Victory in Christ
26 In the sameway the Spiritalsohelps our weakness; for 54we do not knowhow to pray as we should, but 55the SpiritHimselfintercedes for us with groaningstoodeep for words;
27
and 56He who searches the heartsknowswhat57the mind of the Spirit is, because He 58intercedes for the saintsaccording to the will of God.
28
And we know that Godcauses59allthings to worktogether for good to those who loveGod, to those who are 60calledaccording to His purpose.
29
For thosewhom He 61foreknew, He also62predestined to become 63conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the 64firstbornamongmanybrethren;
30
and thesewhom He 65predestined, He also66called; and thesewhom He called, He also67justified; and thesewhom He justified, He also68glorified.
31
69Whatthen shall we say to thesethings? 70IfGod is for us, who is against us?
32
He who71did not spare His ownSon, but 72delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freelygive us allthings?
33
Who will bring a chargeagainst73God'select? 74God is the one who justifies;
34
who is the one who 75condemns? ChristJesus is He who 76died, yes, rather who was 77raised, who is 78at the righthand of God, whoalso79intercedes for us.
35
Who will separate us from 80the love of Christ? Will 81tribulation, ordistress, or82persecution, or83famine, or84nakedness, or85peril, orsword?
36
Just as it is written, "86FOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE BEING PUT TO DEATHALLDAY WE WERE CONSIDERED AS SHEEP TO BE SLAUGHTERED."
37
But in allthesethings we overwhelmingly87conquerthrough88Him who loved us.
38
For I am convinced that neither89death, norlife, nor90angels, norprincipalities, nor91thingspresent, northings to come, norpowers,
39
norheight, nordepth, noranyothercreatedthing, will be able to separate us from 92the love of God, which is 93in ChristJesus our Lord.
