namely, 1if any man is above reproach, the 2husband of one wife, having children who believe, not accused of 3dissipation or 4rebellion.
For the 5overseer must be above reproach as 6God's steward, not 7self-willed, not quick-tempered, not 8addicted to wine, not pugnacious, 9not fond of sordid gain,
but 10hospitable, 11loving what is good, sensible, just, devout, self-controlled,
12holding fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in 13sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict.
