Now the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 1 Then the LORD said to Moses,
"See, I have called by name Bezalel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. 2 "See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,
"I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all kinds of craftsmanship, 3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts--
to make artistic designs for work in gold, in silver, and in bronze, 4 to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze,
and in the cutting of stones for settings, and in the carving of wood, that he may work in all kinds of craftsmanship. 5 to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of craftsmanship.
"And behold, I Myself have appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and in the hearts of all who are skillful I have put skill, that they may make all that I have commanded you: 6 Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given skill to all the craftsmen to make everything I have commanded you:
the tent of meeting, and the ark of testimony, and the mercy seat upon it, and all the furniture of the tent, 7 the Tent of Meeting, the ark of the Testimony with the atonement cover on it, and all the other furnishings of the tent--
the table also and its utensils, and the pure gold lampstand with all its utensils, and the altar of incense, 8 the table and its articles, the pure gold lampstand and all its accessories, the altar of incense,
the altar of burnt offering also with all its utensils, and the laver and its stand, 9 the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, the basin with its stand--
the woven garments as well, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, with which to carry on their priesthood; 10 and also the woven garments, both the sacred garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons when they serve as priests,
the anointing oil also, and the fragrant incense for the holy place, they are to make them according to all that I have commanded you." 11 and the anointing oil and fragrant incense for the Holy Place. They are to make them just as I commanded you."
The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 12 Then the LORD said to Moses,
"But as for you, speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'You shall surely observe My sabbaths; for this is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you. 13 "Say to the Israelites, 'You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy.
'Therefore you are to observe the sabbath, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people. 14 " 'Observe the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Anyone who desecrates it must be put to death; whoever does any work on that day must be cut off from his people.
'For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a sabbath of complete rest, holy to the LORD; whoever does any work on the sabbath day shall surely be put to death. 15 For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.
'So the sons of Israel shall observe the sabbath, to celebrate the sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.' 16 The Israelites are to observe the Sabbath, celebrating it for the generations to come as a lasting covenant.
"It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever; for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day He ceased from labor, and was refreshed." 17 It will be a sign between me and the Israelites forever, for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he abstained from work and rested.' "
