The Lord spoke to Moses: 1 Then the LORD said to Moses,
See, I have called by name Bezalel son of Uri son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: 2 "See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,
and I have filled him with divine spirit, with ability, intelligence, and knowledge in every kind of craft, 3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts--
to devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze, 4 to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze,
in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, in every kind of craft. 5 to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of craftsmanship.
Moreover, I have appointed with him Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and I have given skill to all the skillful, so that they may make all that I have commanded you: 6 Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given skill to all the craftsmen to make everything I have commanded you:
the tent of meeting, and the ark of the covenant, and the mercy seat that is on it, and all the furnishings of the tent, 7 the Tent of Meeting, the ark of the Testimony with the atonement cover on it, and all the other furnishings of the tent--
the table and its utensils, and the pure lampstand with all its utensils, and the altar of incense, 8 the table and its articles, the pure gold lampstand and all its accessories, the altar of incense,
and the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the basin with its stand, 9 the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, the basin with its stand--
and the finely worked vestments, the holy vestments for the priest Aaron and the vestments of his sons, for their service as priests, 10 and also the woven garments, both the sacred garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons when they serve as priests,
and the anointing oil and the fragrant incense for the holy place. They shall do just as I have commanded you. 11 and the anointing oil and fragrant incense for the Holy Place. They are to make them just as I commanded you."
The Lord said to Moses: 12 Then the LORD said to Moses,
You yourself are to speak to the Israelites: "You shall keep my sabbaths, for this is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, given in order that you may know that I, the Lord, sanctify you. 13 "Say to the Israelites, 'You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy.
You shall keep the sabbath, because it is holy for you; everyone who profanes it shall be put to death; whoever does any work on it shall be cut off from among the people. 14 " 'Observe the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Anyone who desecrates it must be put to death; whoever does any work on that day must be cut off from his people.
Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord; whoever does any work on the sabbath day shall be put to death. 15 For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.
Therefore the Israelites shall keep the sabbath, observing the sabbath throughout their generations, as a perpetual covenant. 16 The Israelites are to observe the Sabbath, celebrating it for the generations to come as a lasting covenant.
It is a sign forever between me and the people of Israel that in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed." 17 It will be a sign between me and the Israelites forever, for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he abstained from work and rested.' "
