And he saw a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. 2 He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins.
And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, This poor widow cast in more than they all: 3 "I tell you the truth," he said, "this poor widow has put in more than all the others.
for all these did of their superfluity cast in unto the gifts; but she of her want did cast in all the living that she had. 4 All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on."
And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and offerings, he said, 5 Some of his disciples were remarking about how the temple was adorned with beautiful stones and with gifts dedicated to God. But Jesus said,
As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in which there shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. 6 "As for what you see here, the time will come when not one stone will be left on another; every one of them will be thrown down."
And they asked him, saying, Teacher, when therefore shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign when these things are about to come to pass? 7 "Teacher," they asked, "when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are about to take place?"
And he said, Take heed that ye be not led astray: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am [he]; and, The time is at hand: go ye not after them. 8 He replied: "Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and, 'The time is near.' Do not follow them.
And when ye shall hear of wars and tumults, be not terrified: for these things must needs come to pass first; but the end is not immediately. 9 When you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away."

and there shall be great earthquakes, and in divers places famines and pestilences; and there shall be terrors and great signs from heaven. 11 There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.
But before all these things, they shall lay their hands on you, and shall persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors for my name's sake. 12 "But before all this, they will lay hands on you and persecute you. They will deliver you to synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name.
It shall turn out unto you for a testimony. 13 This will result in your being witnesses to them.
Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate beforehand how to answer: 14 But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves.
for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to withstand or to gainsay. 15 For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.
But ye shall be delivered up even by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolk, and friends; and [some] of you shall they cause to be put to death. 16 You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death.
And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake. 17 All men will hate you because of me.
And not a hair of your head shall perish. 18 But not a hair of your head will perish.

Then let them that are in Judaea flee unto the mountains; and let them that are in the midst of her depart out; and let not them that are in the country enter therein. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city.

There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people.
And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led captive into all the nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. 24 They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
And there shall be signs in sun and moon and stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the billows; 25 "There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.

Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all things be accomplished. 32 "I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. 33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
But take heed to yourselves, lest haply your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day come on you suddenly as a snare: 34 "Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap.
for [so] shall it come upon all them that dwell on the face of all the earth. 35 For it will come upon all those who live on the face of the whole earth.
But watch ye at every season, making supplication, that ye may prevail to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. 36 Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man."
