The Webster Bible (WBT) New International Version (NIV)
And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 1 The LORD said to Moses,
Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, When either man or woman shall separate [themselves] to vow a vow of a Nazarite, to separate [themselves] to the LORD. 2 "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'If a man or woman wants to make a special vow, a vow of separation to the LORD as a Nazirite,
He shall separate [himself] from wine and strong drink, and shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of strong drink, neither shall he drink any liquor of grapes, nor eat moist grapes, or dried. 3 he must abstain from wine and other fermented drink and must not drink vinegar made from wine or from other fermented drink. He must not drink grape juice or eat grapes or raisins.
All the days of his separation shall he eat nothing that is made of the vine-tree, from the kernels even to the husk. 4 As long as he is a Nazirite, he must not eat anything that comes from the grapevine, not even the seeds or skins.
All the days of the vow of his separation there shall no razor come upon his head: until the days shall be fulfilled, in which he separateth [himself] to the LORD, he shall be holy, [and] shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow. 5 " 'During the entire period of his vow of separation no razor may be used on his head. He must be holy until the period of his separation to the LORD is over; he must let the hair of his head grow long.
All the days that he separateth [himself] to the LORD, he shall come at no dead body. 6 Throughout the period of his separation to the LORD he must not go near a dead body.
He shall not make himself unclean for his father, or for his mother, for his brother, or for his sister, when they die: because the consecration of his God [is] upon his head. 7 Even if his own father or mother or brother or sister dies, he must not make himself ceremonially unclean on account of them, because the symbol of his separation to God is on his head.
All the days of his separation he [is] holy to the LORD. 8 Throughout the period of his separation he is consecrated to the LORD.
And if any man shall die very suddenly by him, and he hath defiled the head of his consecration; then he shall shave his head in the day of his cleansing, on the seventh day shall he shave it. 9 " 'If someone dies suddenly in his presence, thus defiling the hair he has dedicated, he must shave his head on the day of his cleansing--the seventh day.
And on the eighth day he shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons, to the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: 10 Then on the eighth day he must bring two doves or two young pigeons to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
And the priest shall offer the one for a sin-offering, and the other for a burnt-offering, and make an atonement for him, for that he sinned by the dead, and shall hallow his head that same day. 11 The priest is to offer one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering to make atonement for him because he sinned by being in the presence of the dead body. That same day he is to consecrate his head.
And he shall consecrate to the LORD the days of his separation, and shall bring a lamb of the first year for a trespass-offering: but the days that were before shall be lost, because his separation was defiled. 12 He must dedicate himself to the LORD for the period of his separation and must bring a year-old male lamb as a guilt offering. The previous days do not count, because he became defiled during his separation.
And this [is] the law of the Nazarite, when the days of his separation are fulfilled: he shall be brought to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: 13 " 'Now this is the law for the Nazirite when the period of his separation is over. He is to be brought to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
And he shall offer his offering to the LORD, one he-lamb of the first year without blemish for a burnt-offering, and one ewe-lamb of the first year without blemish for a sin-offering, and one ram without blemish for peace-offerings, 14 There he is to present his offerings to the LORD: a year-old male lamb without defect for a burnt offering, a year-old ewe lamb without defect for a sin offering, a ram without defect for a fellowship offering,
And a basket of unleavened bread, cakes of fine flour mingled with oil, and wafers of unleavened bread anointed with oil, and their meat-offering and their drink-offerings. 15 together with their grain offerings and drink offerings, and a basket of bread made without yeast--cakes made of fine flour mixed with oil, and wafers spread with oil.
And the priest shall bring [them] before the LORD, and shall offer his sin-offering, and his burnt-offering: 16 " 'The priest is to present them before the LORD and make the sin offering and the burnt offering.
And he shall offer the ram [for] a sacrifice of peace-offerings to the LORD, with the basket of unleavened bread: the priest shall offer also his meat-offering, and his drink-offering. 17 He is to present the basket of unleavened bread and is to sacrifice the ram as a fellowship offering to the LORD, together with its grain offering and drink offering.
And the Nazarite shall shave the head of his separation [at] the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall take the hair of the head of his separation, and put [it] in the fire which [is] under the sacrifice of the peace-offerings. 18 " 'Then at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, the Nazirite must shave off the hair that he dedicated. He is to take the hair and put it in the fire that is under the sacrifice of the fellowship offering.
And the priest shall take the boiled shoulder of the ram, and one unleavened cake out of the basket, and one unleavened wafer, and shall put [them] upon the hands of the Nazarite, after [the hair of] his separation is shaven: 19 " 'After the Nazirite has shaved off the hair of his dedication, the priest is to place in his hands a boiled shoulder of the ram, and a cake and a wafer from the basket, both made without yeast.
And the priest shall wave them [for] a wave-offering before the LORD: this [is] holy for the priest, with the wave-breast, and heave-shoulder: and after that, the Nazarite may drink wine. 20 The priest shall then wave them before the LORD as a wave offering; they are holy and belong to the priest, together with the breast that was waved and the thigh that was presented. After that, the Nazirite may drink wine.
This [is] the law of the Nazarite who hath vowed, [and of] his offering to the LORD for his separation, besides [that] which his hand shall get: according to the vow which he vowed, so he must do after the law of his separation. 21 " 'This is the law of the Nazirite who vows his offering to the LORD in accordance with his separation, in addition to whatever else he can afford. He must fulfill the vow he has made, according to the law of the Nazirite.' "
And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 22 The LORD said to Moses,
Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying to them, 23 "Tell Aaron and his sons, 'This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them:
The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: 24 " ' "The LORD bless you and keep you;
The LORD make his face to shine upon thee, and be gracious to thee: 25 the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you;
The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. 26 the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace." '
And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel, and I will bless them. 27 "So they will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them."
