1 Ein Psalm Davids. HERR, wer wird wohnen in deiner Hütte? Wer wird bleiben auf deinem heiligen Berge?

1 LORD, who may dwell in your sanctuary? Who may live on your holy hill?
|
|
2 Wer ohne Tadel einhergeht und recht tut und redet die Wahrheit von Herzen;
|
2 He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from his heart
|
|
3 wer mit seiner Zunge nicht verleumdet und seinen Nächstem kein Arges tut und seinen Nächsten nicht schmäht;
|
3 and has no slander on his tongue, who does his neighbor no wrong and casts no slur on his fellowman,
|
|
4 wer die Gottlosen für nichts achtet, sondern ehrt die Gottesfürchtigen; wer sich selbst zum Schaden schwört und hält es;
|
4 who despises a vile man but honors those who fear the LORD, who keeps his oath even when it hurts,
|
|
5 wer sein Geld nicht auf Wucher gibt und nimmt nicht Geschenke gegen den Unschuldigen: wer das tut, der wird wohl bleiben.
|
5 who lends his money without usury and does not accept a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things will never be shaken.
