1 Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name; proclaim His deeds among the peoples. 1 Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done.
2 Sing to Him, sing praise to Him; tell about all His wonderful works! 2 Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.
3 Honor His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice. 3 Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.
4 Search for the Lord and for His strength; seek His face always. 4 Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.
5 Remember the wonderful works He has done, His wonders, and the judgments He has pronounced, 5 Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,
6 you offspring of Abraham His servant, Jacob's descendants -His chosen ones. 6 O descendants of Abraham his servant, O sons of Jacob, his chosen ones.
7 He is the Lord our God; His judgments [govern] the whole earth. 7 He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
8 He forever remembers His covenant, the promise He ordained for a thousand generations- 8 He remembers his covenant forever, the word he commanded, for a thousand generations,
9 [the covenant] He made with Abraham, swore to Isaac, 9 the covenant he made with Abraham, the oath he swore to Isaac.
10 and confirmed to Jacob as a decree and to Israel as an everlasting covenant: 10 He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant:
11 "I will give the land of Canaan to you as your inherited portion." 11 "To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion you will inherit."
12 When they were few in number, very few indeed, and temporary residents in Canaan, 12 When they were but few in number, few indeed, and strangers in it,
13 wandering from nation to nation and from one kingdom to another, 13 they wandered from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another.

36 He struck all the firstborn in their land, all their first progeny. 36 Then he struck down all the firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their manhood.
37 Then He brought Israel out with silver and gold, and no one among His tribes stumbled. 37 He brought out Israel, laden with silver and gold, and from among their tribes no one faltered.

44 He gave them the lands of the nations, and they inherited what other peoples had worked for. 44 he gave them the lands of the nations, and they fell heir to what others had toiled for--
45 [All this happened] so that they might keep His statutes and obey His laws. Hallelujah! 45 that they might keep his precepts and observe his laws. Praise the LORD.
