Holman Christian Standard (CSB) New International Version (NIV)
Lord, how long will You continually forget me? How long will You hide Your face from me? 1 How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?
How long will I store up anxious concerns within me, agony in my mind every day? How long will my enemy dominate me? 2 How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me?
Consider me and answer, Lord, my God. Restore brightness to my eyes; otherwise, I will sleep in death, 3 Look on me and answer, O LORD my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death;
my enemy will say, "I have triumphed over him," and my foes will rejoice because I am shaken. 4 my enemy will say, "I have overcome him," and my foes will rejoice when I fall.
But I have trusted in Your faithful love; my heart will rejoice in Your deliverance. 5 But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord because He has treated me generously. 6 I will sing to the LORD, for he has been good to me.
