Third Millennium Bible (TMB) New International Version (NIV)
<> Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! Thou hast set me at large when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer. 1 Answer me when I call to you, O my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; be merciful to me and hear my prayer.
O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? How long will ye love vanity and seek after lies? Selah 2 How long, O men, will you turn my glory into shame ? How long will you love delusions and seek false gods ? "Selah"
But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for Himself; the LORD will hear when I call unto Him. 3 Know that the LORD has set apart the godly for himself; the LORD will hear when I call to him.
Stand in awe, and sin not; commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah 4 In your anger do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent. "Selah"
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD. 5 Offer right sacrifices and trust in the LORD.
There are many that say, "Who will show us any good?" LORD, lift Thou up the light of Thy countenance upon us. 6 Many are asking, "Who can show us any good?" Let the light of your face shine upon us, O LORD.
Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time when their corn and wine increased. 7 You have filled my heart with greater joy than when their grain and new wine abound.
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep; for Thou LORD only, makest me dwell in safety. 8 I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.
