Holman Christian Standard (CSB) New International Version (NIV)
Lord, do not rebuke me in Your anger; do not discipline me in Your wrath. 1 O LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your wrath.
Be gracious to me, Lord, for I am weak; heal me, Lord, for my bones are shaking; 2 Be merciful to me, LORD, for I am faint; O LORD, heal me, for my bones are in agony.
my whole being is shaken with terror. And You, Lord-how long? 3 My soul is in anguish. How long, O LORD, how long?
Turn, Lord! Rescue me; save me because of Your faithful love. 4 Turn, O LORD, and deliver me; save me because of your unfailing love.
For there is no remembrance of You in death; who can thank You in Sheol? 5 No one remembers you when he is dead. Who praises you from the grave ?
I am weary from my groaning; with my tears I dampen my pillow and drench my bed every night. 6 I am worn out from groaning; all night long I flood my bed with weeping and drench my couch with tears.
My eyes are swollen from grief; they grow old because of all my enemies. 7 My eyes grow weak with sorrow; they fail because of all my foes.
Depart from me, all evildoers, for the Lord has heard the sound of my weeping. 8 Away from me, all you who do evil, for the LORD has heard my weeping.
The Lord has heard my plea for help; the Lord accepts my prayer. 9 The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer.
All my enemies will be ashamed and shake with terror; they will turn back and suddenly be disgraced. 10 All my enemies will be ashamed and dismayed; they will turn back in sudden disgrace.
