O Lord, our Sovereign, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. 1 O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.
Out of the mouths of babes and infants you have founded a bulwark because of your foes, to silence the enemy and the avenger. 2 From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.
When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars that you have established; 3 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
what are human beings that you are mindful of them, mortals that you care for them? 4 what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?
Yet you have made them a little lower than God, and crowned them with glory and honor. 5 You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.
You have given them dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under their feet, 6 You made him ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet:
all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field, 7 all flocks and herds, and the beasts of the field,
the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes along the paths of the seas. 8 the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas.
O Lord, our Sovereign, how majestic is your name in all the earth! 9 O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
