Holman Christian Standard (CSB) New International Version (NIV)
Listen, Shepherd of Israel, who guides Joseph like a flock; You who sit enthroned [on] the cherubim, rise up 1 Hear us, O Shepherd of Israel, you who lead Joseph like a flock; you who sit enthroned between the cherubim, shine forth
at the head of Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh. Rally Your power and come to save us. 2 before Ephraim, Benjamin and Manasseh. Awaken your might; come and save us.
Restore us, God; look [on us] with favor, and we will be saved. 3 Restore us, O God; make your face shine upon us, that we may be saved.
Lord God of Hosts, how long will You be angry with Your people's prayers? 4 O LORD God Almighty, how long will your anger smolder against the prayers of your people?
You fed them the bread of tears and gave them a full measure of tears to drink. 5 You have fed them with the bread of tears; you have made them drink tears by the bowlful.
You set us at strife with our neighbors; our enemies make fun of us. 6 You have made us a source of contention to our neighbors, and our enemies mock us.
Restore us, God of Hosts; look [on us] with favor, and we will be saved. 7 Restore us, O God Almighty; make your face shine upon us, that we may be saved.
You uprooted a vine from Egypt; You drove out the nations and planted it. 8 You brought a vine out of Egypt; you drove out the nations and planted it.
You cleared [a place] for it; it took root and filled the land. 9 You cleared the ground for it, and it took root and filled the land.
The mountains were covered by its shade, and the mighty cedars with its branches. 10 The mountains were covered with its shade, the mighty cedars with its branches.
It sent out sprouts toward the Sea and shoots toward the River. 11 It sent out its boughs to the Sea, its shoots as far as the River.
Why have You broken down its walls so that all who pass by pick its fruit? 12 Why have you broken down its walls so that all who pass by pick its grapes?
The boar from the forest gnaws at it, and creatures of the field feed on it. 13 Boars from the forest ravage it and the creatures of the field feed on it.
Return, God of Hosts. Look down from heaven and see; take care of this vine, 14 Return to us, O God Almighty! Look down from heaven and see! Watch over this vine,
the root Your right hand has planted, the shoot that You made strong for Yourself. 15 the root your right hand has planted, the son you have raised up for yourself.
It was cut down and burned up; they perish at the rebuke of Your countenance. 16 Your vine is cut down, it is burned with fire; at your rebuke your people perish.
Let Your hand be with the man at Your right hand, with the son of man You have made strong for Yourself. 17 Let your hand rest on the man at your right hand, the son of man you have raised up for yourself.
Then we will not turn away from You; revive us, and we will call on Your name. 18 Then we will not turn away from you; revive us, and we will call on your name.
Restore us, Lord God of Hosts; look [on us] with favor, and we will be saved. 19 Restore us, O LORD God Almighty; make your face shine upon us, that we may be saved.
