Génesis 11:25-32

25 Después del nacimiento de Taré, Nacor vivió ciento diecinueve años más y tuvo otros hijos e hijas.

26 Después de que Taré cumpliera setenta años de edad, tuvo a Abram, a Nacor y a Harán.

27 La familia de Taré
Este es el relato de la familia de Taré. Taré fue el padre de Abram, Nacor y Harán; y Harán fue el padre de Lot.

28 Pero Harán murió en Ur de los caldeos —su tierra natal— mientras su padre Taré aún vivía.

29 Durante ese tiempo, tanto Abram como Nacor se casaron. El nombre de la esposa de Abram era Sarai, y el nombre de la esposa de Nacor era Milca. (Milca y su hermana Isca eran hijas de Harán, el hermano de Nacor).

30 Pero Sarai no podía quedar embarazada y no tenía hijos.

31 Cierto día, Taré tomó a su hijo Abram, a su nuera Sarai (la esposa de su hijo Abram) y a su nieto Lot (el hijo de su hijo Harán) y salieron de Ur de los caldeos. Taré se dirigía a la tierra de Canaán, pero se detuvieron en Harán y se establecieron allí.

32 Taré vivió doscientos cinco años
y murió mientras aún estaba en Harán.

INTRODUCTION TO GENESIS 11

This chapter gives an account of the inhabitants of the earth before the confusion of tongues at Babel, of their speech and language, which was one and the same, and of the place where they dwelt, Ge 11:1,2 and of their design to build a city and tower, to make them a name and keep them together, which they put in execution, Ge 11:3,4 of the notice the Lord took of this affair, and of the method he took to put a stop to their designs, by confounding their speech, and dispersing them abroad upon the face of the earth, Ge 11:5-9 then follows a genealogy of Shem's posterity down to Abraham, Ge 11:10-26 and a particular relation is given of Terah, the father of Abraham, and his family, and of his going forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, in order to go into the land of Canaan, and of his death at Haran by the way, Ge 11:27-32.
