Praise the LORD,1 O my soul;2 all my inmost being, praise his holy name.32
Praise the LORD,4 O my soul, and forget not5 all his benefits--
who forgives all your sins6 and heals7 all your diseases,
who redeems your life8 from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,95
who satisfies10 your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed11 like the eagle's.126
The LORD works righteousness13 and justice for all the oppressed.147
He made known15 his ways16 to Moses, his deeds17 to the people of Israel:
The LORD is compassionate and gracious,18 slow to anger, abounding in love.
He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever;1910
he does not treat us as our sins deserve20 or repay us according to our iniquities.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love21 for those who fear him;2212
as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions23 from us.
As a father has compassion24 on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;
for he knows how we are formed,25 he remembers that we are dust.2615
As for man, his days are like grass,27 he flourishes like a flower28 of the field;
the wind blows29 over it and it is gone, and its place30 remembers it no more.
But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD's love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children31--
with those who keep his covenant32 and remember33 to obey his precepts.3419
The LORD has established his throne35 in heaven, and his kingdom rules36 over all.
Praise the LORD,37 you his angels,38 you mighty ones39 who do his bidding,40 who obey his word.
Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts,41 you his servants42 who do his will.
Praise the LORD, all his works43 everywhere in his dominion. Praise the LORD, O my soul.44
