He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood,1 and his name is the Word of God.214
The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen,3 white4 and clean.
Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword5 with which to strike down6 the nations. "He will rule them with an iron scepter."a7 He treads the winepress8 of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.
On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:9 KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.1017
And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds11 flying in midair,12 "Come,13 gather together for the great supper of God,1418
so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and mighty men, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people,15 free and slave,16 small and great."1719
Then I saw the beast18 and the kings of the earth19 and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse20 and his army.
But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet21 who had performed the miraculous signs22 on his behalf.23 With these signs he had deluded24 those who had received the mark of the beast25 and worshiped his image.26 The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake27 of burning sulfur.2821
The rest of them were killed with the sword29 that came out of the mouth of the rider on the horse,30 and all the birds31 gorged themselves on their flesh.
