Esdras 3:6

6 Desde o primeiro dia do sétimo mês começaram a oferecer holocaustos ao Senhor; porém ainda não haviam sido lançados os alicerces do templo do Senhor.

Ezra 3:6

From the first of the seventh month began they to offer
burnt offerings unto the Lord
And which day was not only a new moon, but a grand festival, the feast of blowing of trumpets, ( Leviticus 23:24 Leviticus 23:25 ) , and no doubt but they observed the tenth day of this month, with all the rites of it, which was the day of atonement, ( Leviticus 23:27-32 ) ,

but the foundation of the temple of the Lord was not yet laid;
they began first with sacrifices, that having thereby given thanks to God for their return to their own land, and for all the benefits they enjoyed, and made atonement for their sins in a typical way, they might be the more prepared and fit for the work of building the temple; or, "though the foundation" of it was not laid ^F26, yet they offered the above sacrifices.

4 E celebraram a festa dos tabernáculos como está escrito, e ofereceram holocaustos diários segundo o número ordenado para cada dia,

5 e em seguida o holocausto contínuo, e os das luas novas e de todas as festas fixas do Senhor, como também os de qualquer que fazia oferta voluntária ao Senhor.

6 Desde o primeiro dia do sétimo mês começaram a oferecer holocaustos ao Senhor; porém ainda não haviam sido lançados os alicerces do templo do Senhor.

7 Deram dinheiro aos pedreiros e aos carpinteiros; como também comida e bebida, e azeite aos sidônios, e aos tírios, para trazerem do Líbano madeira de cedro ao mar, para Jope, segundo a concessão que lhes tinha feito Ciro, rei da Pérsia.

8 Ora, no segundo ano da sua vinda � casa de Deus em Jerusalém, no segundo mês, Zorobabel, filho de Sealtiel, e Jesuá, filho de Jozadaque, e os outros seus irmãos, os sacerdotes e os levitas, e todos os que vieram do cativeiro para Jerusalém, deram início � obra e constituíram os levitas da idade de vinte anos para cima, para superintenderem a obra da casa do Senhor.
