19 Y el hombre de Dios se enojó con él, y dijo: Deberías haber golpeado cinco o seis veces, entonces hubieras herido a Aram hasta exterminarlo. Pero ahora herirás a Aram sólo tres veces.

2 Kings 13:19

And the man of God was wroth with him
Because he ceased smiting, and smote no oftener; for it was revealed to the prophet, by an impulse upon his mind, that by the number of times he smote on the ground, it would be known how often he should get the victory over his enemies; but this was to be left to the king's own will, how often he would smite, and thereby the prophet would know also with what spirit he would pursue his victories, and the advantages he would gain:

and said, thou shouldest have smitten five or six times, then hadst
thou smitten Syria until thou hadst consumed it;
as a nation, as well as routed their several armies:

whereas now thou shalt smite Syria but thrice;
beat them only three times in battle, according to the number of his smitings on the ground.

17 Y dijo: Abre la ventana hacia el oriente, y él la abrió. Entonces Eliseo dijo: Tira. Y él tiró. Y Eliseo dijo: Flecha de victoria del SEÑOR, y flecha de victoria sobre Aram, porque derrotarás a los arameos en Afec hasta exterminarlos.

18 Entonces añadió: Toma las flechas; y él las tomó. Y dijo al rey de Israel: Golpea la tierra; y él la golpeó tres veces y se detuvo.

19 Y el hombre de Dios se enojó con él, y dijo: Deberías haber golpeado cinco o seis veces, entonces hubieras herido a Aram hasta exterminarlo. Pero ahora herirás a Aram sólo tres veces.

20 Y murió Eliseo y lo sepultaron. Y las bandas de los moabitas solían invadir la tierra en la primavera de cada año.

21 Y cuando estaban sepultando a un hombre, he aquí, vieron una banda de merodeadores y arrojaron al hombre en la tumba de Eliseo. Y cuando el hombre cayó y tocó los huesos de Eliseo, revivió, y se puso en pie.
