2 Kings 16:7

So Ahaz sent messengers to Tiglathpileser king of Assyria,
&c.] Of whom see ( 2 Kings 15:29 ) saying, [I am] thy servant, and thy son;
signifying, that he would be his vassal, and become tributary to him, and serve him as a servant to his master, or a son his father, on condition he would come to his assistance, and so he became his servant; hence his son Hezekiah is said to rebel against the king of Assyria, ( 2 Kings 18:1 2 Kings 18:7 ) come up and save me out of the hand of the king of Syria, and out of
the hand of the king off Israel, which rise up against me;
which assistance he had no reason to call in, since the Lord had promised him deliverance from both those kings, and gave him a sign of it, ( Isaiah 7:4-16 ) .

5 Entonces Rez铆n, rey de Aram, y Peka, hijo de Remal铆as, rey de Israel, subieron a Jerusal茅n para hacer guerra y sitiaron a Acaz; pero no lo pod铆an vencer.
6 En aquel tiempo Rez铆n, rey de Aram, recuper贸 a Elat para Aram, y ech贸 a los jud铆os de Elat completamente; y los arameos vinieron a Elat y all铆 han morado hasta hoy.
7 Y envi贸 Acaz mensajeros a Tiglat-pileser, rey de Asiria, diciendo: Yo soy tu siervo y tu hijo; sube y l铆brame de la mano del rey de Aram y de la mano del rey de Israel que se han levantado contra m铆.
8 Y Acaz tom贸 la plata y el oro que se hallaba en la casa del SE脩OR y en los tesoros de la casa del rey, y envi贸 un presente al rey de Asiria.
9 El rey de Asiria lo escuch贸, y el rey de Asiria subi贸 contra Damasco y la tom贸, y se llev贸 a su pueblo al destierro en Kir, y dio muerte a Rez铆n.
