Ver. 9 And he spoke also unto the men of Penuel
In a threatening way, as he had spoken to the men of Succoth: saying, when I come again in peace: having conquered all his enemies, and delivered Israel from their bondage, and restored peace and prosperity to them, of which he had no doubt:

I will break down this tower;
pointing to it and which stood in their city, and in which they placed their confidence; and when he threatened them, boasted of it as their security.

7 Y Gede贸n respondi贸: Muy bien, cuando el SE脩OR haya entregado en mi mano a Zeba y a Zalmuna, trillar茅 vuestras carnes con espinos del desierto y con abrojos.
8 De all铆 subi贸 a Peniel, y les habl贸 de la misma manera; y los hombres de Peniel le respondieron tal como los de Sucot le hab铆an contestado.
9 Y habl贸 tambi茅n a los hombres de Peniel, diciendo: Cuando yo vuelva sano y salvo, derribar茅 esta torre.
10 Ahora bien, Zeba y Zalmuna estaban en Carcor, y sus ej茅rcitos con ellos, unos quince mil hombres, los que hab铆an quedado de todo el ej茅rcito de los hijos del oriente; porque los que hab铆an ca铆do eran ciento veinte mil hombres que sacaban espada.
11 Y subi贸 Gede贸n por el camino de los que habitaban en tiendas al este de Noba y Jogbeha, y atac贸 el campamento cuando el campamento estaba desprevenido.
