Nehemías 13:13

13 Y puse al frente de los almacenes al sacerdote Selemías, al escriba Sadoc, y a Pedaías, uno de los levitas; además de éstos estaba Hanán, hijo de Zacur, hijo de Matanías; porque se les consideraba dignos de confianza, y su responsabilidad era repartir las raciones a sus parientes.

Nehemiah 13:13

And I made treasurers over the treasuries
New ones, since the others appointed were either dead or unfaithful to their trust, ( Nehemiah 12:44 ) ,

Shelemiah the priest, and Zadok the scribe;
who also was a priest, as Ezra was both priest and scribe; one that besides his office as a priest was expert in the law, and capable of instructing others:

and of the Levites, Pedaiah, and next to them was Hanan the son of
Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah, for they were counted faithful;
had a good report of all that knew them, for men of fidelity and uprightness, and so fit for such a trust:

and their office was to distribute unto their brethren;
to deliver to them their share in the tithes, first fruits

11 Por tanto, reprendí a los oficiales, y dije: ¿Por qué está la casa de Dios abandonada? Entonces reuní a los levitas y los restablecí en sus puestos.

12 Entonces todo Judá trajo el diezmo del cereal, del mosto y del aceite a los almacenes.

13 Y puse al frente de los almacenes al sacerdote Selemías, al escriba Sadoc, y a Pedaías, uno de los levitas; además de éstos estaba Hanán, hijo de Zacur, hijo de Matanías; porque se les consideraba dignos de confianza, y su responsabilidad era repartir las raciones a sus parientes.

14 Acuérdate de mí por esto, Dios mío, y no borres las obras de misericordia que he hecho por la casa de mi Dios y por sus servicios.

15 En aquellos días vi en Judá a algunos que pisaban los lagares en el día de reposo, y traían haces de trigo y los cargaban en asnos, y también vino, uvas, higos y toda clase de carga, y los traían a Jerusalén en el día de reposo. Y les amonesté por el día en que vendían los víveres.
