DEFINITION
Mentoring is a relational experience in which one person empowers another by sharing his or her life, experience and God-given resources. A mentor nurtures an apprentice’s personal development, faith and skill.
SCRIPTURE
“But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. He told them how Saul on his journey had seen the Lord and that the Lord had spoken to him.” (Acts 9:27)
“Timothy, my son, I give you this instruction in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by following them you may fight the good fight, holding on to faith and a good conscience.” (1 Timothy 1:18)
