Then the chief of the fathers and princes of the tribes of
Israel
The princes of the twelve tribes:

and the captains of thousands, and of hundreds, with the rulers over
the king's work;
who were now assembled, ( 1 Chronicles 28:1 )

offered willingly;
and cheerfully; needed no more arguments to press them to it, but at once readily communicated.

4 three thousand talents of gold (the gold of Ophir) and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the buildings,
5 for the gold work and the silver work, and for all the work to be done by the craftsmen. Now who is willing to consecrate himself to the LORD today?”
6 Then the leaders of the families, the officers of the tribes of Israel, the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and the officials in charge of the king’s work gave willingly.
7 Toward the service of God’s house they gave 5,000 talents and 10,000 darics of gold, 10,000 talents of silver, 18,000 talents of bronze, and 100,000 talents of iron.
8 Whoever had precious stones gave them to the treasury of the house of the LORD, under the care of Jehiel the Gershonite.
