CHAPTER 6

Levi (6:1–81)

1–81 Verses 1–15 record the line of the high priests up until the Exile. Verses 16–30 list the clans of Levi. Verses 31–47 list the temple musicians, all of them Levites. Verses 48–53 repeat the earlier verses 4–8. Finally, verses 54–81 describe the territories the Levites were given to live in (see Joshua 21:1–40 and comment).
