Fearful (poberon). As in Matthew 10:27 Matthew 10:31 , only in Heb. in N.T. The appearance (to pantazomenon). Present passive articular participle of pantazw, old verb from painw, to make visible, here only in N.T. "The manifestation." I exceedingly fear and quake (ekpobo eimi kai entromo). "I am terrified (ekpobo, late compound like ekpobew, to frighten, Mark 9:6 ) and trembling" (entromo, late compound like entremw, to tremble at, as in Acts 7:32 ; Acts 16:29 ). Ekpobo is quoted from Deuteronomy 9:19 .
