1 Chronicles 21:12  (King James Version)
Either three years' famine; or three months to be destroyed before thy foes, while that the sword of thine enemies overtaketh thee; or else three days the sword of the LORD, even the pestilence, in the land, and the angel of the LORD destroying throughout all the coasts of Israel. Now therefore advise thyself what word I shall bring again to him that sent me.

In 2 ; Sa 24:13 it is seven years; but the Septuagint has there [tria ete,] three years, as here;
which is, no doubt, the true reading; the letter [Zayin,] {zayin,} seven, being mistaken for [Giymel,] {gimmel,} three. Leviticus 26:26-29 ; 2 Samuel 21:1 ; 24:13 1 Kings 17:1 ; 2 Kings 8:1 ; Lamentations 4:9 ; Luke 4:25
