22 約 西 亞 卻 不 肯 轉 去 離 開 他 ， 改 裝 要 與 他 打 仗 ， 不 聽 從 　 神 藉 尼 哥 之 口 所 說 的 話 ， 便 來 到 米 吉 多 平 原 爭 戰 。

2 Chronicles 35:22

Nevertheless, Josiah would not turn his face from him
Or withdraw his forces, and go back:

but disguised himself that he might fight with him;
without being personally known, and aimed at, see ( 1 Kings 22:30 )

and hearkened not unto the words of Necho from the mouth of God:
not believing that what he said came from the Lord, though it might; and his infirmity was, that he did not inquire of the Lord about it:

and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo;
which was in the tribe of Manasseh, thought to be the Magdolum of Herodotus, where he says Necho fought the battle ^F26; (See Gill on 2 Kings 23:29).

20 這 事 以 後 ， 約 西 亞 修 完 了 殿 ， 有 埃 及 王 尼 哥 上 來 ， 要 攻 擊 靠 近 伯 拉 河 的 迦 基 米 施 ； 約 西 亞 出 去 抵 擋 他 。

21 他 差 遣 使 者 來 見 約 西 亞 ， 說 ： 猶 大 王 啊 ， 我 與 你 何 干 ？ 我 今 日 來 不 是 要 攻 擊 你 ， 乃 是 要 攻 擊 與 我 爭 戰 之 家 ， 並 且 　 神 吩 咐 我 速 行 ， 你 不 要 干 預 　 神 的 事 ， 免 得 他 毀 滅 你 ， 因 為 　 神 是 與 我 同 在 。

22 約 西 亞 卻 不 肯 轉 去 離 開 他 ， 改 裝 要 與 他 打 仗 ， 不 聽 從 　 神 藉 尼 哥 之 口 所 說 的 話 ， 便 來 到 米 吉 多 平 原 爭 戰 。

23 弓 箭 手 射 中 約 西 亞 王 。 王 對 他 的 臣 僕 說 ： 我 受 了 重 傷 ， 你 拉 我 出 陣 罷 ！

24 他 的 臣 僕 扶 他 下 了 戰 車 ， 上 了 次 車 ， 送 他 到 耶 路 撒 冷 ， 他 就 死 了 ， 葬 在 他 列 祖 的 墳 墓 裡 。 猶 大 人 和 耶 路 撒 冷 人 都 為 他 悲 哀 。
