2 到 第 三 年 ， 猶 大 王 約 沙 法 下 去 見 以 色 列 王 。

1 Kings 22:2

And it came to pass in the third year
Of the peace, before it was expired:

that Jehoshaphat the king of Judah came down to the king of Israel;
to Ahab, from Jerusalem to Samaria, reckoned thirty two miles ^F13; either to make peace with him, and put an end to the wars which subsisted between Israel and Judah since the division of the kingdom, ( 1 Kings 22:44 ) or to contract an affinity with him, by marrying his son to a daughter of Ahab, ( 2 Kings 8:18 2 Kings 8:26 ) or rather after peace was made, and that strengthened by the marriage; and so he went merely to pay a visit, as he judged he might then with great safety; and he and all his retinue were entertained by Ahab in a very sumptuous and liberal manner, ( 2 Chronicles 18:1 2 Chronicles 18:2 ) .

3 以 色 列 王 對 臣 僕 說 ： 你 們 不 知 道 基 列 的 拉 末 是 屬 我 們 的 麼 ？ 我 們 豈 可 靜 坐 不 動 ， 不 從 亞 蘭 王 手 裡 奪 回 來 麼 ？

4 亞 哈 問 約 沙 法 說 ： 你 肯 同 我 去 攻 取 基 列 的 拉 末 嗎 ？ 約 沙 法 對 以 色 列 王 說 ： 你 我 不 分 彼 此 ， 我 的 民 與 你 的 民 一 樣 ， 我 的 馬 與 你 的 馬 一 樣 。

5 約 沙 法 對 以 色 列 王 說 ： 請 你 先 求 問 耶 和 華 。
