Jeremiah 45:2

Thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel, unto thee, O Baruch.
] Whom he knew by name, had a great regard for, and honours with this prophecy; and, being an Israelite, both in a literal and spiritual sense, he addresses him as the God of Israel, and as being his covenant God; in whom he should put his trust, and from whom he might expect safety and protection in the worst of times; and to whose sovereign will, in all the dispensations of his providence, he ought to have humbly and patiently submitted.

2 巴 錄 啊 ， 耶 和 華 ─ 以 色 列 的 　 神 說 ：

3 巴 錄 （ 原 文 是 你 ） 曾 說 ： 哀 哉 ！ 耶 和 華 將 憂 愁 加 在 我 的 痛 苦 上 ， 我 因 唉 哼 而 困 乏 ， 不 得 安 歇 。

4 你 要 這 樣 告 訴 他 ， 耶 和 華 如 此 說 ： 我 所 建 立 的 ， 我 必 拆 毀 ； 我 所 栽 植 的 ， 我 必 拔 出 ； 在 全 地 我 都 如 此 行 。

5 你 為 自 己 圖 謀 大 事 麼 ？ 不 要 圖 謀 ！ 我 必 使 災 禍 臨 到 凡 有 血 氣 的 。 但 你 無 論 往 哪 裡 去 ， 我 必 使 你 以 自 己 的 命 為 掠 物 。 這 是 耶 和 華 說 的 。
