Jeremiah 46:24

The daughter of Egypt shall be confounded
Brought to shame before all the nations of the earth, being conquered by the Chaldeans; that is, the kingdom of Egypt, as the Targum; or the inhabitants of it, being subdued and carried captive: she shall be delivered into the hand of the people of the north;
the Chaldeans, who dwelt northward of Egypt, as is manifest from what follows.

22 其 中 的 聲 音 好 像 蛇 行 一 樣 。 敵 人 要 成 隊 而 來 ， 如 砍 伐 樹 木 的 手 拿 斧 子 攻 擊 他 。

23 耶 和 華 說 ： 埃 及 的 樹 林 雖 然 不 能 尋 察 （ 或 譯 ： 穿 不 過 ） ， 敵 人 卻 要 砍 伐 ， 因 他 們 多 於 蝗 蟲 ， 不 可 勝 數 。

26 我 要 將 他 們 交 付 尋 索 其 命 之 人 的 手 和 巴 比 倫 王 尼 布 甲 尼 撒 與 他 臣 僕 的 手 ； 以 後 埃 及 必 再 有 人 居 住 ， 與 從 前 一 樣 。 這 是 耶 和 華 說 的 。
