35 耶 和 華 說 ： 有 刀 劍 臨 到 迦 勒 底 人 和 巴 比 倫 的 居 民 ， 並 他 的 首 領 與 智 慧 人 。

Jeremiah 50:35

A sword [is] upon the Chaldeans, saith the Lord
Or, "shall be" ^F11 or, "O sword, [be thou] on the Chaldeans" ^F12; that is, the sword of the Medes and Persians; those that kill with the sword, as the Targum; in the mystic sense, the Christian princes that shall draw the sword against the antichristian states: and upon the inhabitants of Babylon;
the metropolis of Chaldea; the common people in it, as distinguished from those of high rank and degree following: and upon her princes;
Belshazzar and his nobles, who were slain the night Babylon was taken: and upon her wise [men];
prime ministers, politicians, and counsellors of state; neither high birth nor great wisdom can secure from the sword of the enemy, when it has a commission from God, as it had here.

34 他 們 的 救 贖 主 大 有 能 力 ， 萬 軍 之 耶 和 華 是 他 的 名 。 他 必 伸 清 他 們 的 冤 ， 好 使 全 地 得 平 安 ， 並 攪 擾 巴 比 倫 的 居 民 。

35 耶 和 華 說 ： 有 刀 劍 臨 到 迦 勒 底 人 和 巴 比 倫 的 居 民 ， 並 他 的 首 領 與 智 慧 人 。

36 有 刀 劍 臨 到 矜 誇 的 人 ， 他 們 就 成 為 愚 昧 ； 有 刀 劍 臨 到 他 的 勇 士 ， 他 們 就 驚 惶 。

37 有 刀 劍 臨 到 他 的 馬 匹 、 車 輛 ， 和 其 中 雜 族 的 人 民 ； 他 們 必 像 婦 女 一 樣 。 有 刀 劍 臨 到 他 的 寶 物 ， 就 被 搶 奪 。
