14 我 的 手 搆 到 列 國 的 財 寶 ， 好 像 人 搆 到 鳥 窩 ； 我 也 得 了 全 地 ， 好 像 人 拾 起 所 棄 的 雀 蛋 。 沒 有 動 翅 膀 的 ； 沒 有 張 嘴 的 ， 也 沒 有 鳴 叫 的 。

Isaiah 10:14

And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the people,
&c.] With that ease as a man finds a nest of birds, and takes them: and as one gathereth eggs [that are] left;
by the bird, who not sitting upon them, there is none to protect them; whereas, when they are sat upon by the bird, she will flutter with her wings, and strike with her bill, and preserve them as well as she can: have I gathered all the earth;
the kingdoms and inhabitants of it, there being none to resist, or that dared to do it, as follows: and there was none that moved the wing;
as a bird will do, when its young or eggs are taken away from it: or opened the mouth, or peeped;
chattered, clucked, or expressed any grief, uneasiness, or resentment; the Targum is,

``that opened his mouth, and spoke a word.''

12 主 在 錫 安 山 和 耶 路 撒 冷 成 就 他 一 切 工 作 的 時 候 ， 主 說 ： 我 必 罰 亞 述 王 自 大 的 心 和 他 高 傲 眼 目 的 榮 耀 。

15 斧 豈 可 向 用 斧 砍 木 的 自 誇 呢 ？ 鋸 豈 可 向 用 鋸 的 自 大 呢 ？ 好 比 棍 掄 起 那 舉 棍 的 ， 好 比 杖 舉 起 那 非 木 的 人 。

16 因 此 ， 主 ─ 萬 軍 之 耶 和 華 必 使 亞 述 王 的 肥 壯 人 變 為 瘦 弱 ， 在 他 的 榮 華 之 下 必 有 火 著 起 ， 如 同 焚 燒 一 樣 。
