4 人 子 啊 ， 你 要 審 問 審 問 他 們 麼 ？ 你 當 使 他 們 知 道 他 們 列 祖 那 些 可 憎 的 事 ，

Ezekiel 20:4

Wilt thou judge them, son of man?
&c.] Excuse them, patronise them, defend their cause, and plead for them? surely thou wilt not; or rather, wilt thou not reprove and correct them, judge and condemn them, for their sins and wickedness? this thou oughtest to do: wilt thou judge [them]?
this is repeated, to show the vehemency of the speaker, and the duty of the prophet: cause them to know the abominations of their fathers:
the sins they committed, which were abominable in themselves, and rendered them abominable unto God, and what came upon them for them; by which they would be led to see the abominable evils which they also had been guilty of, in which they had imitated their fathers, and what they had reason to expect in consequence of them.

2 耶 和 華 的 話 臨 到 我 說 ：

3 人 子 啊 ， 你 要 告 訴 以 色 列 的 長 老 說 ， 主 耶 和 華 如 此 說 ： 你 們 來 是 求 問 我 麼 ？ 主 耶 和 華 說 ： 我 指 著 我 的 永 生 起 誓 ， 我 必 不 被 你 們 求 問 。

5 對 他 們 說 ， 主 耶 和 華 如 此 說 ： 當 日 我 揀 選 以 色 列 ， 向 雅 各 家 的 後 裔 起 誓 ， 在 埃 及 地 將 自 己 向 他 們 顯 現 ， 說 ： 我 是 耶 和 華 ─ 你 們 的 　 神 。

6 那 日 我 向 他 們 起 誓 ， 必 領 他 們 出 埃 及 地 ， 到 我 為 他 們 察 看 的 流 奶 與 蜜 之 地 ； 那 地 在 萬 國 中 是 有 榮 耀 的 。
