約書亞記 10:39

39 就 奪 了 底 璧 和 屬 底 璧 的 城 邑 ， 又 擒 獲 底 璧 的 王 ， 用 刀 將 這 些 城 中 的 人 口 盡 行 殺 滅 ， 沒 有 留 下 一 個 。 他 待 底 璧 和 底 璧 王 ， 像 從 前 待 希 伯 崙 和 立 拿 與 立 拿 王 一 樣 。

Joshua 10:39

And he took it, and the king thereof, and all the cities
thereof
For this also was a royal city, and had others dependent on it; and therefore must lie further from Hebron than before suggested; and indeed Burchard ^F11 says it was five or six miles from it, and another writer ^F12 says ten miles:

and they smote them with the edge of the sword;
the inhabitants of Debir, and the other cities adjacent to it;

and utterly destroyed all the souls that [were] therein, he left none
remaining;
and yet it seems this city recovered again, and was reinhabited, and after the death of Joshua was taken by Othniel, ( Judges 1:11-13 ) ; unless, as before observed, with respect to Hebron, there is there a more particular account of the taking of it at this time:

as he had done to Hebron, so did he to Debir, and to the king thereof,
as he had done also to Libnah and her king;
that is, slew them.

38 約 書 亞 和 以 色 列 眾 人 回 到 底 璧 ， 攻 打 這 城 ，

39 就 奪 了 底 璧 和 屬 底 璧 的 城 邑 ， 又 擒 獲 底 璧 的 王 ， 用 刀 將 這 些 城 中 的 人 口 盡 行 殺 滅 ， 沒 有 留 下 一 個 。 他 待 底 璧 和 底 璧 王 ， 像 從 前 待 希 伯 崙 和 立 拿 與 立 拿 王 一 樣 。

40 這 樣 ， 約 書 亞 擊 殺 全 地 的 人 ， 就 是 山 地 、 南 地 、 高 原 、 山 坡 的 人 ， 和 那 些 地 的 諸 王 ， 沒 有 留 下 一 個 。 將 凡 有 氣 息 的 盡 行 殺 滅 ， 正 如 耶 和 華 ─ 以 色 列 的 　 神 所 吩 咐 的 。

41 約 書 亞 從 加 低 斯 巴 尼 亞 攻 擊 到 迦 薩 ， 又 攻 擊 歌 珊 全 地 ， 直 到 基 遍 。
