7 Yǐlìshā lái dào Dàmǎsè , Yàlán wáng biàn Hādá zhēng huànbìng . yǒu rén gàosu wáng shuō , shén rén lái dào zhèlǐ le .
8 Wáng jiù fēnfu hā xuē shuō , nǐ daì zhe lǐwù qù jiàn shén rén , tuō tā qiú wèn Yēhéhuá , wǒ zhè bìng néng hǎo bùnéng hǎo .
9 Yúshì hā xuē yòng sì shí gè luòtuo , tuó zhe Dàmǎsè de gèyàng mĕi wù wèi lǐwù , qù jiàn Yǐlìshā . dào le Tānàli , zhàn zaì tā miànqián , shuō , nǐ érzi Yàlán wáng biàn Hādá dǎfa wǒ lái jiàn nǐ , tā wèn shuō , wǒ zhè bìng néng hǎo bùnéng hǎo .
10 Yǐlìshā duì hā xuē shuō , nǐ huí qù gàosu tā shuō , zhè bìng bì néng hǎo . dàn Yēhéhuá zhǐshì wǒ , tā bìyào sǐ .
11 Shén rén déngjīng kàn zhe hā xuē , shènzhì tā cánkuì . shén rén jiù kū le .
12 Hā xuē shuō , wǒ zhǔ wèishénme kū . huídá shuō , yīnwei wǒ zhīdào nǐ bì kǔhaì Yǐsèliè rén , yòng huǒ fùnshāo tāmende bǎo zhàng , yòng dāo shā sǐ tāmende zhuàng dīng , shuāi sǐ tāmende yīnghái , pōu kāi tāmende yùn fù .
13 Hā xuē shuō , nǐ púrén suàn shénme , bú guō shì yī tiaó gǒu , yān néng xíng zhè dà shì ne . Yǐlìshā huídá shuō , Yēhéhuá zhǐshì wǒ , nǐ bì zuò Yàlán wáng .
14 Hā xuē líkāi Yǐlìshā , huí qù jiàn tāde zhǔrén . zhǔrén wèn tā shuō , Yǐlìshā duì nǐ shuō shénme . huídá shuō , tā gàosu wǒ nǐ bì néng hǎo .
15 Cì rì , hā xuē ná beì wō jìn zaì shuǐ zhōng , méng zhù wáng de liǎn , wáng jiù sǐ le . yúshì hā xuē cuàn le tāde wèi .

INTRODUCTION TO 2 KINGS 8

This chapter gives an account of some advice Elisha had formerly given to the Shunammite woman, and of the success of it, 2Ki 8:1-6 and of the sickness of the king of Syria, who sent to Elisha, then being at Damascus, by Hazael, to know whether he should recover; by whom a message was returned, and Hazael was told by the prophet he should be king of Syria, and exercise great cruelty in Israel, 2Ki 8:7-15 and of the bad reign of Jehoram, son of Jehoshaphat, over Judah, 2Ki 8:16-24 and of the reign of his son Ahaziah, 2Ki 8:25-29.
