8 Zì sǐ de huò shì beì yĕshòu sī liè de , tā bùkĕ chī , yīncǐ wūhuì zìjǐ . wǒ shì Yēhéhuá .

Lìwèijì 22:8 Meaning and Commentary

Leviticus 22:8

That which dieth of itself, or is torn [with beasts]
Whether fowls or beasts, and even clean ones, which, had they been killed in a proper manner, were fit to cut, but dying of themselves, or torn to pieces by other birds or beasts of prey, might not, see ( Ezekiel 44:31 ) ; he shall not eat, to defile himself therewith;
being impure food, at least in a ceremonial sense, and not fit to be eaten; these things were forbid a common Israelite, and much less might a priest eat of them, see ( Leviticus 17:15 ) ; I [am] the Lord;
who enjoin this, and expect to be obeyed.

6 Mó le zhèxie rén , wù de , bì bú jiéjìng dào wǎnshang , ruò búyòng shuǐ xǐ shēn , jiù bùkĕ chī shèngwù .

7 Rìluò de shíhou , tā jiù jiéjìng le , ránhòu kĕyǐ chī shèngwù , yīnwei zhè shì tāde shíwù .

9 Suǒyǐ tāmen yào shǒu wǒ suǒ fēnfu de , miǎndé qīng hū le , yīncǐ dàn zuì ér sǐ . wǒ shì jiào tāmen chéng shèng de Yēhéhuá .

10 Fán waìrén bùkĕ chī shèngwù , jìjū zaì jìsī jia de , huò shì gùgōng rén , dōu bùkĕ chī shèngwù .
