Lìwèijì 3:3 Meaning and Commentary

Leviticus 3:3

And he shall offer of the sacrifice of the peace offering,
&c.] That is, the priest, not all of it, but some of it, even what is after mentioned:

an offering made by fire unto the Lord;
for what was offered to the Lord was burnt, and is that part of it which is next mentioned in this and the following verse:

the fat that covereth the inwards, and all the fat that is upon the
inwards;
both that which covered them, and that which stuck to them; and the fat being the best, it was the Lord's, and offered to him, and denoted Christ the fatted calf, whose sacrifice is best and most excellent; and which was typified by that which Abel offered up, and which being of the fat of the flock, and offered up by faith in Christ's sacrifice, was more excellent than Cain's, ( Genesis 4:4 ) ( Hebrews 11:4 ) .

1 Rén xiàn gōngwù wéi píngān jì ( píngān huò zuò chóu ēn xià tóng ) , ruò shì cóng niú qún zhōng xiàn , wúlùn shì gōng de shì mǔ de , bì yòng méiyǒu cánji de xiàn zaì Yēhéhuá miànqián .

2 Tā yào àn shǒu zaì gōngwù de tóu shàng , zǎi yú huì mù ménkǒu . Yàlún zǐsūn zuò jìsī de , yào bǎ xuè sǎ zaì tán de zhōuwéi .

3 Cóng píngān jì zhōng , jiàng huǒ jì xiàn gĕi Yēhéhuá , yĕ yào bǎ gaì zàng de zhīyóu hé zàng shàng suǒyǒude zhīyóu ,

4 Bìng liǎng gè yàozi hé yàozi shàng de zhīyóu , jiù shì kào yào liǎng páng de zhīyóu , yǔ gān shàng de wǎngzi hé yàozi , yígaì qǔ xià .

5 Yàlún de zǐsūn yào bǎ zhèxie shāo zaì tán de Fánjì shàng , jiù shì zaì huǒ de chái shàng , shì xiàn yǔ Yēhéhuá wéi xīnxiāng de huǒ jì .
