Mark 9:6

For he wist not what to say
He did not know what he should say, or what was proper to be said by him, at such a time, in such circumstances, and before such persons;

for they were sore afraid.
The Persic version reads, "he was": and so the Latin translation of the Syriac, though that itself is, "they were"; for all three were filled with consternation at what they saw and heard; so that they were scarcely themselves, and knew not well what they said or did.

4 Hūrán yǒu Yǐlìyà tóng Móxī xiàng tāmen xiǎnxiàn . bìngqiĕ hé Yēsū shuōhuà .

5 Bǐdé duì Yēsū shuō , Lābǐ , ( Lābǐ jiù shì fūzǐ ) wǒmen zaì zhèlǐ zhēn hǎo . kĕyǐ dā sān zuò péng , yī zuò wèi nǐ , yī zuò wèi Móxī , yī zuò wèi Yǐlìyà .

6 Bǐdé bù zhīdào shuō shénme cái hǎo . yīnwei tāmen shén shì jùpà ,

7 Yǒu yī duǒ yúncai lái zhēgaì tāmen . yĕ yǒu shēngyīn cóng yúncai lǐ chūlai shuō , zhè shì wǒde aì zǐ , nǐmen yào tīng tā .

8 Méntǔ hūrán zhōuwéi yī kàn , bú jiàn yī rén , zhǐ jiàn Yēsū tóng tāmen zaì nàli .
