5 Yòu shuō , wǒmen ruò zaì nǐ yǎnqián mĕng ēn , qiú nǐ bǎ zhè dì gĕi wǒmen wéi yè , búyào lǐng wǒmen guō Yuēdànhé .

Mínshùjì 32:5 Meaning and Commentary

Numbers 32:5

Wherefore, said they, if we have found grace in thy sight
Directing their speech to Moses, the ruler of the congregation, in a very modest, decent, and respectable manner:

let this land be given unto thy servants for a possession;
as their own portion and inheritance, to be enjoyed by them, and their children after them:

and bring us not over Jordan;
into the land of Canaan, where as they after explain themselves, they did not desire to have any part with their brethren, but should be content with their possession here, should it be granted them.

3 Yàdà lù , Yǎxiè , níng lā , Xīshíbĕn , Yǐlìyà lì , shì bān , ní bō , bǐ wĕn ,

4 Jiù shì Yēhéhuá zaì Yǐsèliè huì zhòng qiánmian suǒ gōng qǔ zhī dì , shì kè mù fàng shēngchù zhī dì , nǐ púrén yĕ yǒu shēngchù .

6 Móxī duì Jiādé zǐsūn hé Liúbiàn zǐsūn shuō , nándào nǐmen de dìxiōng qù dǎzhàng , nǐmen jìng zuò zaì zhèlǐ ma ,

7 Nǐmen wèihé shǐ Yǐsèliè rén huīxīn sàng dǎn , bú guō qù jìnrù Yēhéhuá suǒ cìgĕi tāmende nà dì ne ,
