5 Tā shuō , wèi píngān lái de , wǒ shì gĕi Yēhéhuá xiànjì . nǐmen dāng zì jié , lái yǔ wǒ tóng chī jì ròu . Sǎmǔĕr jiù shǐ Yēxī hé tā zhòng zǐ zì jié , qǐng tāmen lái chī jì ròu .

1 Samuel 16:5

And he said, peaceably I am come to sacrifice unto the Lord,
&c.] Which he could say with truth, it being one end of his coming, though not the only one for which he came, and which he was not obliged to tell:

sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice;
prepare themselves for it, which was done by washing their garments and then attend with him, and assist him in the sacrifice:

and he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice;
he ordered them to sanctify themselves; he distinguished them from the rest of the inhabitants, and invited them to partake of the feast, the remainder of the peace offerings.

3 Nǐ yào qǐng Yēxī lái chī jì ròu , wǒ jiù zhǐshì nǐ suǒ dāng xíng de shì . wǒ suǒ zhǐ gĕi nǐde rén , nǐ yào gāo tā .

4 Sǎmǔĕr jiù zhào Yēhéhuá de huà qù xíng . dào le Bólìhéng , nà chéng lǐ de zhǎnglǎo dōu zhàn zhàn jīng jīng dì chūlai yíngjiē tā , wèn tā shuō , nǐ shì wèi píngān lái de ma .

5 Tā shuō , wèi píngān lái de , wǒ shì gĕi Yēhéhuá xiànjì . nǐmen dāng zì jié , lái yǔ wǒ tóng chī jì ròu . Sǎmǔĕr jiù shǐ Yēxī hé tā zhòng zǐ zì jié , qǐng tāmen lái chī jì ròu .

6 Tāmen lái de shíhou , Sǎmǔĕr kànjian Yǐlì yē , jiù xīnli shuō , Yēhéhuá de shòu gāo zhĕ bìdéng zaì tā miànqián .

7 Yēhéhuá què duì Sǎmǔĕr shuō , búyào kàn tāde waìmào hé tā shēn cái gāo dà , wǒ bù jiǎnxuǎn tā . yīnwei , Yēhéhuá bú xiàng rén kàn rén , rén shì kàn waìmào . Yēhéhuá shì kàn neì xīn .
