Shēnméngjì 5:17 Meaning and Commentary

Ver. 17-20. Thou shalt not kill
The following commands begin with the copulative "and", different from the manner in which they are expressed, ( Exodus 20:17 ) which joins these together, and them with the preceding ones; hence the law is by some said to be one copulative, and may serve to illustrate a passage in ( James 2:10 ) .

15 Nǐ yĕ yào jìniàn nǐ zaì Āijí dì zuò guō núpú . Yēhéhuá nǐ shén yòng dà néng de shǒu hé shēn chūlai de bǎngbìjiāng nǐ cóng nàli lǐng chūlai . yīncǐ , Yēhéhuá nǐde shén fēnfu nǐ shǒu ānxīrì .
16 Dàng zhào Yēhéhuá nǐ shén suǒ fēnfu de xiàojìng fùmǔ , shǐ nǐ de fú , bìng shǐ nǐde rìzi zaì Yēhéhuá nǐ shén suǒ cì nǐde dì shàng déyǐ chángjiǔ .
