10 Jīliè de zhǎnglǎo huídá Yēfútā shuō , yǒu Yēhéhuá zaì nǐ wǒ zhōngjiān zuò jiànzhèng , wǒmen bìdéng zhào nǐde huà xíng .

Judges 11:10

And the elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah
Assenting to his proposal, and not only giving their word for it, but their oath:

the Lord be witness between us, if we do not so according to thy words;
that is, make him head over them; they appealed to the omniscient God, and called on him to be a witness of their agreement to it, and swore by him they would fulfil it; or if they did not, that the Lord would take vengeance on them for it, and punish the breach of this covenant and oath in some way or another; the Targum of Jonathan is,

``the Word of the Lord be a witness between us''

8 Jīliè de zhǎnglǎo huídá Yēfútā shuō , xiànzaì wǒmen dào nǐ zhèlǐ lái , shì yào nǐ tóng wǒmen qù , yǔ Yàmén rén zhēng zhàn . nǐ kĕyǐ zuò Jīliè yīqiè jūmín de lǐng xiù .

9 Yēfútā duì Jīliè de zhǎnglǎo shuō , nǐmen jiào wǒ huí qù , yǔ Yàmén rén zhēng zhàn , Yēhéhuá bǎ tā jiāo gĕi wǒ , wǒ kĕyǐ zuò nǐmen de lǐng xiù ma .

11 Yúshì Yēfútā tóng Jīliè de zhǎnglǎo huí qù , bǎixìng jiù lì Yēfútā zuò lǐng xiù , zuò yuán shuaì . Yēfútā zaì Mǐsībā jiāng zìjǐ de yīqiè huà chén míng zaì Yēhéhuá miànqián .

12 Yēfútā dǎfa shǐzhĕ qù jiàn Yàmén rén de wáng , shuō , nǐ yǔ wǒ yǒu shénme xiānggān , jìng lái dào wǒ guó zhōng gōngdǎ wǒ ne .
