1 Yēhéhuá liú xià zhè jǐ zú , wéi yào shìyàn nà bú céng zhīdào yǔ Jiānán zhēng zhàn zhī shì de Yǐsèliè rén ,

Shìshījì 3:1 Meaning and Commentary

Judges 3:1

Now these [are] the nations which the Lord left to prove
Israel by them
Which are later mentioned, ( Judges 3:3 Judges 3:5 ) ;

[even] as many [of Israel] as had not known all the wars of Canaan;
those that Joshua, and the people of Israel under him, had with the Canaanites, when they first entered the land and subdued it; being then not born, or so young as not to have knowledge of them, at least not able to bear arms at that time.

1 Yēhéhuá liú xià zhè jǐ zú , wéi yào shìyàn nà bú céng zhīdào yǔ Jiānán zhēng zhàn zhī shì de Yǐsèliè rén ,

2 Hǎo jiào Yǐsèliè de hòudaì yòu zhīdào yòu xuéxí wèicéng xiǎodé de zhàn shì .

3 Suǒ liú xià de jiù shìfēi lì shì de wǔ gè shǒulǐng hé yīqiè Jiānán rén , Xīdùn rén , bìng zhù Lìbānèn shān de Xīwèirén , cóng bā lì hēi men shān zhídào Hāmǎkǒu .

4 Liú xià zhè jǐ zú , wéi yào shìyàn Yǐsèliè rén , zhīdào tāmen kĕn tīng cóng Yēhéhuá jiè Móxī fēnfu tāmen lièzǔ de jièmìng bù kĕn .
