12 Nǐde zhìhuì rén zaì nàli ne . wàn jūn zhī Yēhéhuá xiàng Āijí suǒ déng de zhǐyì , tāmen kĕyǐ zhīdào , kĕyǐ gàosu nǐ ba .

Yǐsaìyàshū 19:12 Meaning and Commentary

Isaiah 19:12

Where [are] they? where [are] thy wise [men]?
&c.] The magicians and soothsayers, the diviners and astrologers, who pretended, by their magic art and skill in judicial astrology, to foretell things to come: this is an address to the king of Egypt, who had such persons about him, and encouraged them, by consulting them on occasion, and rewarding them:

and let them tell thee now, and let them know what the Lord of
hosts hath purposed upon Egypt;
or, "against it"; let them tell, if they can, and make known unto thee the purposes of God's heart, the things he has resolved upon, even the calamities and punishments he will shortly inflict upon the Egyptians, of which he has given notice by his prophets.

10 Guó zhù bì beì dǎ suì , suǒ yǒu yòng gōng de , xīn bì chóu fán .

11 Suǒ ān de shǒulǐng , jíqí yúmeì , fǎlǎo dà yǒu zhìhuì de móu shì , suǒ chóu huà de , chéngwéi yúmeì . nǐmen zĕn gǎn duì fǎlǎo shuō , wǒ shì zhìhuì rén de zǐsūn , wǒ shì gǔ wáng de hòuyì .

12 Nǐde zhìhuì rén zaì nàli ne . wàn jūn zhī Yēhéhuá xiàng Āijí suǒ déng de zhǐyì , tāmen kĕyǐ zhīdào , kĕyǐ gàosu nǐ ba .

13 Suǒ ān de shǒulǐng , dōu biàn wèi yúmeì , nuó Fú de shǒulǐng , dōu shòu le míhuò . dāng Āijí zhīpaì fáng jiǎo shí de shǐ Āijí rén zǒu cuò le lù .

14 Yēhéhuá shǐ guāi miù de líng , chān rù Āijí zhōngjiān . shǒulǐng shǐ Āijí yīqiè suǒ zuò de dōu yǒu chāi cuò , hǎoxiàng zuìjiǔ zhī rén ǒu tù de shíhou , dōng dǎo xī wāi yíyàng .
