Ezra 8:24

Then I separated twelve of the chief of the priests
That were in company with him; so that it seems there were more than the two mentioned, ( Ezra 8:2 ) , very probably their families, or some of their brethren, were with them:

Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and ten of their brethren with them;
these men named were Levites, and not priests, ( Ezra 8:18 Ezra 8:19 ) and therefore the copulative "and" must be supplied:

and Sherebiah
or with the twelve priests, Sherebiah, &c. and ten Levites more with them; so that the number of priests and Levites were equal, and in all twenty four.

22 Wǒ qiú wáng bō bù bīng mǎ bīng bāngzhu wǒmen dǐdǎng lù shang de chóudí , bĕn yǐwéi xiūchǐ . yīn wǒ céng duì wáng shuō , wǒmen shén shī ēn de shǒu bì bāngzhu yīqiè xúnqiú tāde . dàn tāde nénglì hé fèn nù , bì gōngjī yīqiè lí qì tāde .

23 Suǒyǐ wǒmen jìnshí qíqiú wǒmen de shén , tā jiù yīngyún le wǒmen .

24 Wǒ fēn paì Jìsīzhǎng shí èr rén , jiù shì Shìlìbǐ, Hāshābǐyǎ , hé tāmende dìxiōng shí rén ,

25 Jiāng wáng hé móu shì , jūnzhǎng , bìng zaì nàli de Yǐsèliè zhòngrén wèi wǒmen shén diàn suǒ xiàn de jīn yín hé qìmǐn , dōu chēng le jiāo gĕi tāmen .

26 Wǒ chēng le jiāo zaì tāmen shǒu zhōng de yínzi yǒu liù bǎi wǔ shí tā lián dé . yínqì zhòng yī bǎi tā lián dé . jīnzi yī bǎi tā lián dé .
